Maybe it changes with bigger ships, but so far with the small classes I haven't had too much fun and am considering to return to my Starsector campaign. If compared to other games, I would consider something like a casual quite fast-paced ARPG (Torchlight II comes to mind), comes quite close to Star Valor, whereas Starsector would be more of an ...The Eagle is a tanky standoff ship and the Falcon is a bridge between Destroyer and Cruiser. I'm also not sure how it could be considered B tier. The (standard) Falcon is hands down one of the worst ships in the game for it's DP value. It's literally better to just run a Hammerhead in it's place most of the time.
