Jun 6, 2017 · I'm thinking about turning a Mossberg Shockwave into a SBS. Seems to have a lot going for it being a 590 with a 14" barrel. Plus it will give me a fun short toy while I'm waiting forever on a stamp. Any issues on using the Shockwave for a SBS build since it isn't a shotgun to begin with? I have a shockwave sbs. Sits right around 31-32in. It’s 1in longer than my 11.5 ar with stock fully extended. It’s easy to swing around the house. I’ve shot at clays a few times with my sbs. I have a Shockwave SBS with pistol grip, folding stock adapter, and stabilizing brace (will exchange for stock soon). You build MAY become a short barrel shotgun if the overall length exceeds 26" -- so it really depends on the length of the buffer tube used for the brace and if you add a folding stock adapter.
